We are looking for a talented and experienced Manager of Public Affairs Communications to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with our government affairs team to influence public opinion, engage with key stakeholders, and represent our organization at the highest levels. You will report directly to the Senior Director of Enterprise & Public Affairs Communications and play a crucial role in advancing our mission through strategic communication and media relations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to make a difference, we want to hear from you! **Work Location** This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. **The Main Responsibilities** + Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to support public policy initiatives, helping the government affairs team advocate for sound policy and regulation that enables the company's freedom to operate and innovate. + Manage media relations, build relationships with key stakeholders, and serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization on policy issues. + Draft, review, and distribute press releases, statements, op-eds, and other communication materials. + Monitor and analyze media coverage, public opinion, and legislative developments on policy issues, providing regular reports to senior leadership. + Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, government affairs, and marketing, to ensure consistent and strategic messaging across all channels. + Provide strategic communication advice and media training to senior leadership and other key personnel. **What We Look For in a Candidate** + Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Communications, Journalism, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. + Minimum of 7 years of experience in public policy communications or a related role, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex policy issues to diverse audiences. + Strong understanding of media relations, public policy issues, and legislative processes. + Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. + Experience working with government agencies, non-profits, advocacy groups, or in a corporate setting is a plus, preferably with technology industry experience + Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. **Compensation** This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
