Job Summary:
The On-Call chaplain is responsible for providing pastoral care to patients, families, and staff during the evening, night, holidays, and weekend shifts.
Responds to requests for emergency Pastoral Care. Responds by telephone to the paging operator within 5-10 minutes. Available within 30 minutes of the initial request for a unit.
Provides chaplaincy services on request, including bedside visits, spiritual guidance, administration of sacraments, pastoral counseling to patients’ families, and staff as needed, including emergency or crisis, covering all areas of the hospital. Hospital regulations require keeping up-to-date information regarding calls made and people visited. Provides, by email, daily reports of activities undertaken in this post. Keeps current regarding theology and pastoral care through related literature and educational programs (i.e., at least one workshop). Provides Spiritual support for staff as needed
Shift: Casual - Rotating shift (less than 20 hrs), on call. Weekend work required
Education and Experience Required:
Licensure/Certifications: Board Eligible
Experience: Requires at least one year of professional pastoral ministry in a congregational or clinical setting
Knowledge/Skills:

Salary Range: Minimum $24.00/hour - Maximum $24.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
