Position Overview: IU Health is looking for a dedicated Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. This full-time role operates primarily Monday through Friday during daytime hours, based out of the Oncology office at Ball.
Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate and manage the clinical and administrative aspects of oncology research projects.
- Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth project operations.
- Communicate effectively regarding protocol adherence and patient care issues.
- Provide guidance and support to other healthcare professionals involved in research activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- 5-7 years of relevant nursing experience, with oncology experience highly valued.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Additional advanced life support certifications may be required based on departmental needs.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations related to clinical research.
- Ability to perform thorough physical assessments.
- Phlebotomy skills, including blood draws and IV starts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
