Job Description

Exciting opportunity at the Skyline Hotel Detroit Airport for a talented Chief Engineer to join our team. As the Chief Engineer, you will bring your passion for hotel maintenance and PM programs to our hotel. Leading the team, you will act as a mentor and supervisor to drive hotel performance through maintenance. Responsibilities:

Overseeing all maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and replacements
Scheduling: Creating and prioritizing maintenance schedules
Supervising and delegating tasks to the maintenance team
Leading the installation of new equipment
Keeping proper records for inspections and audits
Ensuring there is enough inventory for reactive work orders
Performing daily and weekly property inspections
Providing training and mentorship to the engineering department
Responding to guest maintenance requests
Building good relationships with internal and external customers
Setting short-term and long-term project goals
Negotiating with clients and vendors
Compiling reports for the board of directors

Qualifications:

Prior hotel engineering experience required
Hotel engineering supervisory experience
Strong understanding of PM Programs
Technical understanding of HVAC, MEP, and Carpentry
